18 December 2017 | Ierland, Dublin
We left the home at nine, after I said goodbye to the husband, and went on the trip to Dublin, where we arrived at 11/11:30. At the airport I had to wait a while before I could check in my luggage because there were a lot of people travelling with KLM-Air France. After waiting for about 45 minutes I was able to check in. I then said goodbye to the wife and the daughter and went through customs. Customs went really smooth and nothing was checked. I proceeded to walk towards the gate, but there was a delay so I first ate some lunch.
When I finished my lunch I walked towards the gate and waited for the queue to begin. After some waiting the queue started and I was first of the economy class, I boarded the plane and read a book, which I had bought on Schiphol.
In the Netherlands I left the plane, took my luggage and put some money on my train ticket. I then ate some tuna pizza on the platform.
When the train arrived I stepped in and travelled to Zwolle where I jumped into the last train to Hoogeveen.
At the station in Hoogeveen stood my father, who took me home.
That was my trip to Ireland.
I learned a lot about Irish culture and their education systems and about how they think about Nothern Ireland, Brexit and Europe. I came in contact with the hundreds of people I talked to daily. I learned what it is to have a small business in Ireland and about grands.
I brought in a new point of view towards the work with initiative and enthusiasm.
This trip was amazing, I learned so much and I met so many great people. I am happy I chose exploration dome and I would do it again if someone asked me to.
